Jeff Purdon
,CFP®, MBAA native Atlantan and a resident of Sandy Springs, Jeff has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. In addition to his work as a financial advisor, Jeff spent almost a decade as a strategic planner, working directly with C-Suite Executives at Unum Corporation and the Bank of America.
Jeff is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. At Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven, Jeff taught Investment Planning and Business Case Analysis classes in the CFP certification program. He also served as an Adjunct Professor, teaching an undergraduate investments course. Jeff also served as an arbitration panelist for the New York Stock Exchange. As a result of these experiences, he is a strong proponent of educating his clients as part of the financial planning process.
Outside the office, Jeff is an active traveler and a sports participant, playing a lot of golf and ALTA tennis. Combining those passions, he is 90% of the way through his goal of visiting every Major League Baseball park.
An honors graduate of Woodward Academy, Jeff has been an active alumnus for over four decades. He chaired the War Eagle Open golf tournament fundraiser for almost a decade. He has also served on his reunion committee for every reunion since his graduation. He also served on the alumni board for seven years and is a past treasurer, vice president and president of the Woodward Academy Alumni Association.
As a Lafayette alumnus, Jeff served as his class president for 20 years and co-chaired his most recent reunion in 2023. He currently serves as an alumni admissions representative and has represented Lafayette at more than 50 college fairs.
At Tulane, Jeff served as co-chair of the Freeman Ambassadors program and was given the new Dean’s Service Award for his work on behalf of the Freeman School of Business.
Currently, Jeff teaches a financial management course at the Community Assistance Center, a nonprofit serving the citizens of Dunwoody and Sandy Springs. He is a member of Central Presbyterian Church in downtown Atlanta.
